I did refer to the rich and poor so let me define them more specifically.
Rich. Those who make 90% of the wealth and manage to pay only 70% of the taxes.
Poor. Those who pay 20% of the taxes and make only 3% of the wealth.

You may do the math yourself to see that this leaves 7% of the wealth creators to pay 10% of the taxes. These whiners are the middle class and many of them vote. Just the way the rich want them too, just like too many of the poor.
